Home > News > We will remember them

Here in Llanelli and across the rest of our country, we pause today to remember the many men and women who gave their lives in service, in the two World Wars and in every conflict since.

They were sons and daughters, parents, friends and neighbours. They left behind homes and families, and many never came back.

On Remembrance Sunday, the nation falls silent and keeps their names, their stories and their sacrifices alive. We will also think of those who serve today, the veterans living with what they carried home, and the families who still feel the loss.

They shall grow not old, as we that are left grow old:
Age shall not weary them, nor the years condemn.
At the going down of the sun and in the morning
We will remember them.

Lest we forget.
