Earlier today, I attended the funeral of longstanding Llangennech councillor, Gary Robert Jones.
He was much loved by people across his community and a man of strong socialist principles, absolutely devoted to improving people’s lives with his wonderful way of bringing people together.
He was an inspiration and a joy to be with and an example to us all, whether working on serious matters or throwing himself into more light-hearted community events. He so often went the extra mile and worked behind the scenes to support people or resolve issues.
My heartfelt sympathy to his wife Cara and daughters Molly and Rowen. We have lost a very dear friend and a great community champion. He will be sorely missed.
