#CarmarthenshireDay in Parliament earlier this week was a great opportunity to showcase some of our fine local foods and produce, something our county has long been renowned for.

Bringing the heart of Carmarthenshire to the centre of Westminster showed the real strength of our excellent, unique food and drink sector.

Already 22 products made exclusively in Wales have been recognised under the UK Labour Government’s Geographical Indication (GI) scheme, an internationally recognised mark of quality and authenticity for specialist producers, including several from Carmarthenshire such as Carmarthenshire Ham, Caws Cenarth and Welsh Heather Honey.  Congratulations to all concerned!

Many thanks to FUW and Ann Davies MP for helping to make this event a reality.  It was a fantastic chance to celebrate, taste and enjoy the best that Carmarthenshire has to offer!
