Today’s decision by Hywel Dda Health Board to close the Minor Injuries Unit at Prince Philip Hospital overnight for six months is disgraceful.
They’ve had more than enough time to deal with staffing problems there but have failed to do so. Instead, they now plan to embark on consultation before deciding on its longer-term future.
The MIU must stay open as a 24 / 7 service. Hywel Dda now need to deliver that for the people of Llanelli.
