Pleasure to host local composer and sound artist Cheryl Beer and her Cân y Coed Rainforest Symphony exhibition in Parliament today.

As part of her project, hearing impaired Cheryl spent a 12-month residency within the Rainforests of Wales. By repurposing hearing aid and biomedical sound technology, she collated conductive biorhythms from within nature, using readings to compose a Symphony.

Cheryl is on a mission to raise awareness of fragile ecologies and the vulnerable position that we hold as part of them. Her work has appeared in the UK, at the London Southbank Centre and internationally at the GREAT Garden of Diversity, Qatar and the Institute of Deaf Technology, Rocester University, New York.
