Yesterday in Parliament, I warned the Secretary of State for Wales of the devastating effect that the Tory £20 a week Universal Credit cut will have on 7,650 households in Llanelli and also on our local economy.
It is a lifeline to those who need it most and will come at a time when many families are struggling to make ends meet.
The move will strip £1040 per year with a cut equivalent to the cost of the average family’s annual electricity, gas and internet bills combined.
