To mark this year’s Small Business Saturday, I visited several small businesses in the Llanelli constituency over the weekend including Harbour Lights Spirits in Burry Port (pictured), Tinworks Brewery Co in Trostre, Holistic Therapies in Ann Street and Onesta Style Ethical Clothing.
Shops, pubs and restaurants, manufacturers, hotels and hairdressers, beauty salons and suppliers, breweries and bakeries, and many more small businesses of all kinds are the beating heart of communities in every corner of Llanelli and they’ve adapted brilliantly in tough circumstances. But 2020 has not been easy for any of them.
Small businesses will be a key part of our economic recovery and with Christmas just around a corner, people can help to support jobs and investment here on our own doorstep by buying their gifts for friends and family from local companies.
I have seen first-hand so many talented and dedicated people producing fantastic products and services in Llanelli. They deserve as much support as we can provide and just by making the simple choice to shop locally during the festive period, we can all make a huge difference to safeguarding jobs and livelihoods in our own communities.
