A graffiti art painting conveying the appreciation of local residents for the efforts of NHS staff during the COVID-19 crisis has been officially handed over to Prince Phillip Hospital.

Created by street artist, Lat Lim, the picture features a depiction of NHS staff in surgical clothing and uses the wording “NHS Strikes Back” in reference to the famous Star Wars phrase.  Organised with the help of Dafen councillor, Rob Evans, and Llanelli resident, Stella Faye Millet, the donated piece will now be placed inside the hospital’s Intensive Care Unit.

This stunning artwork is a fitting tribute to all of those involved in the NHS locally, working every day to keep us safe and well.  Its striking, bright nature will hopefully remind staff and patients that we are all rooting for them at this desperately difficult time.

It was a privilege to be able to present it to the hardworking staff at Prince Phillip Hospital and to let them know of the warmth and respect that they are held in by the people of Llanelli.
