To mark International Women’s Day, I met local WASPI women’s pension campaigners at the plaque commemorating Emmeline Pankhurst’s visit to Llanelli. 1950s women have been badly hit by the Government fast-forwarding of pension changes, instead of sticking to more gradual equalisation of pension age. Time Government listened to campaigners and made amends.
