We all have a huge responsibility to slow down the spread of Coronavirus as much as we possibly can, to protect those who are more susceptible to complications and so that our health service is not overwhelmed.

I know that many of us will want to help those who are being encouraged to stay at home, whether it is by helping to deliver to them – taking all the precautions that are necessary, or simply phoning them on a regular basis to check if they are OK and to keep them company.

If you wish to volunteer, you can contact Age Cymru Sir Gar on 01554 784080 or Carmarthenshire Association for Voluntary Service on 01267 245555.

If you know of someone who does not have family nearby and needs help, then you can refer them to Carmarthenshire’ s Delta Well-being (formerly Careline) on 0300 333 22 22 or to Age Cymru Sir Gar on 01554 784080.
