Our planet faces a crisis and we must act now before it is too late.

In Parliament I supported Labour’s call to declare a climate emergency, as our Welsh Labour Government has done.

Labour will deliver a Green Industrial Revolution, creating 400,000 new green jobs, including huge investment in clean, renewable energy to power our industry, run our transport and heat our homes.

One simple thing we can do to tackle the climate emergency is plant many more trees.

Groups like the Women’s Institute have been leading the way on this, and I’ve been working with them and others to plant and protect trees in the local area.

But we also need government action, which has sadly been lacking under the Tories. A UK Labour Government will plant two billion trees over 20 years.
