Shocking that rare metals, crucial for smartphones, are not recycled and that the greed of big tech companies means we could soon run out of these materials, which are also used in vital medical equipment and solar panels.

I am demanding that these tech companies pay for facilities to extract and reuse the rare elements used in smartphones… After all, they are ones making huge profits and constantly pushing us to ditch our phones for a new model.

I’ve written to the UK Government pushing them to take a lead and ensure the public’s efforts to recycle are not wasted.
