I interviewed the Shadow Foreign Secretary Emily Thornberry earlier this month ahead of her visit to Llanelli on 10th March for International Women’s Day. We discussed progress on gender equality in the last century, women in modern politics and the impact of Brexit on towns like Llanelli.
We sat down for a chat on 6th February – the centenary of the Representation of the People Act 1918 that gave some women the right to vote for the first time – after a Shadow Cabinet meeting in the Museum of London.
