I welcome the news that there will be a general election on June 8th. It has been an honour and a privilege to serve as MP for Llanelli since 2005 and I plan on standing again on my record of delivering for local people across the constituency.
Here in Wales we know the difference that a Labour Government makes – investment in public services, more and better jobs, and support for local businesses. Over the next few weeks, Welsh Labour will be offering a clear and credible alternative to the failed policies of the Conservatives.
We are now at a pivotal moment for Llanelli and the whole of West Wales as the Brexit negotiations get underway. If I am re-elected, I will continue to be a strong voice for Llanelli in Westminster, fighting for a Brexit deal that protects jobs, investment and vital funds for our area.
