The award ceremony for the Carmarthen Bay Film Festival took place in the Stradey Park Hotel on Thursday evening. The festival, which is now in its fifth year, is the brainchild of Burry Port resident Kelvin Guy. Participants came from far and wide, with the number of entries now well over 300, and awards were presented for a range of different categories.
Commenting on the festival, Nia said
“It was a real pleasure to attend the awards ceremony and to see clips of the wide range of entries for the festival this year – excerpts from some very gripping films, really professionally produced, tackling all sorts of challenging subjects. This is the type of event that can really help to put Llanelli on the map. Kelvin and Judith Guy have put huge amount into this festival, and they have some great support, particularly from Angela at the Stradey Park Hotel – but this is an event which deserves much broader support. ”
