Nia Griffith MP recently joined local councillor George Edwards and a big crowd of friends and family to celebrate the 100th birthday of Mrs Elizabeth Mary Williams (Mary) at the home of her daughter Mrs Seagar in Pwll.

Commenting on the occasion, Nia said,

“Mrs Mary Williams is just like we would all like to be at her age: bright as a bubble, and full of interesting memories and a great sense of humour…. we had a very interesting chat about her husband, bringing up her family and her applying to be a swimming pool attendant although she could not swim! She was told to come back the following week, when she appointed as a cashier at Llanelli Swimming Pool.  I would like to thank her daughters Mrs Eleanor Seagar and Mrs Valerie Griffiths most sincerely for inviting me to be part of their celebrations.”
