Nia Griffith MP has met with the officers of the SOSPPAN  – Save Our Services Prince Philip Action Network to discuss next moves and how to keep the pressure up on the Hywel Dda Health Board to maintain services at Prince Philip Hospital.

“We need to keep the pressure up on the Health Board to make sure that the A&E is doctor-led, as we have been promised. There are still lots of unknowns in respect of their implementation plans for the  future of services at Prince Philip Hospital. I will also be seeing Health Minister Mark Drakeford AM on Friday and will be asking about his monitoring of the Health Board’s plans. We also need to know what’s happening in respect of the routine orthopaedic surgery after the cancellation of operations that we have seen this winter, and I still have concerns about poor administrative procedures leading to confusion and delays, in particular where co-ordination with neighbouring health boards in concerned – a topic I am writing to the Health Board about today.”
