Nia Griffith MP has recently visited the Rathbone Centre on Station Road as part of their Launch Pad citizenship programme. Whilst at the centre Nia heard about the wide range of activities supported by the Rathbone Trust, both out in local schools and colleges and at the centre itself, and chatted about her work with the young people present. She also discussed with the staff ways of helping young people learn more about what MPs, AMs and councillors.
Commenting on the visit, Nia said
“I very much enjoyed my session at Rathbone. It is always interesting to know what issues are concerning young people at the moment, and the questions they ask can be very thought-provoking. I was also very impressed with the commitment of the staff and volunteers at the Centre; I can understand why our Young Labour group chose to support Rathbone as one of their charities when they took part recently in it’s a Knock Out.
