Visiting the Royal Mail sorting office in Llanelli, Nia Griffith MP praised the efforts of the postal workers who were working flat out to get the mail, including stacks of parcels, delivered by Christmas Day.
“The public can be sure that their post is in good hands. Postal workers here in Llanelli are working all hours to get the huge volume of mail cleared by Christmas. Just looking at the amount of parcels one postal worker has to deliver is staggering. Interestingly, research shows that our reliable postal service is one of the main reasons that the UK is a world leader in internet shopping.
