Nia Griffith MP and members of SOSPPAN, the Committee for the Improvement of Hospital Services have handed over some 300 completed copies of the Hywel Dda Health Board’s consultation questionnaire, which they have collected when out at stalls in the town centre or visiting local clubs and associations. Receiving them on behalf of the Hywel Dda Health Board was the Board’s vice-chair Sian James.
Nia Griffith commented,
“I’d like to thank members of SOSPPAN and all those who have helped to get out copies of this consultation document to the public. Apart from those we handed in, I know many more have been taken away by people to fill them in at home, and send them back directly to the address provided. I remain concerned however that many people who would have been very keen to express their views about the future of our hospital services, will not have heard about the consultation questionnaire and I am dismayed to hear that experienced computer users have had difficulty with the online version. I have sent my own response in, as have SOSPPAN and our local councils. I would urge the Health Board to listen to what people in Llanelli are saying. ”
