Nia Griffith MP has welcomed the government climb-down on caravan tax, which means that VAT will be levied at 5% rather than the proposed 20% on static caravans. Commenting on the change, she said “ I am glad the government has listened to our protests. This will be a relief for many working in the holiday industry, but it is still an increase on the current zero rating, and the government needs to do a lot more to stimulate the economy and help small businesses.”
