I have recently had the pleasure of welcoming a group of Year 6 pupils from Ysgol Ffwrnes to visit Parliament. First of all they had a tour of the Houses of Parliament, visiting the Chamber of the House of Commons and the House of Lords. They were particularly impressed by the throne where the Queen sits for the state opening of Parliament. Next they learned about how Parliament makes laws and they voted to pass a law on no homework. I wonder what their parents would think of that! Then we had a general discussion about my work as an MP. If you would like to visit Parliament, please contact my office.
