I met with the Parkinson’s UK team at Labour conference to discuss the impact of the Government’s needless PIP reassessments for those with progressive conditions and the often arbitrary interpretation of assessment criteria, both of which need an urgent rethink.
They highlighted the problem of people with Parkinson’s not getting their medicine on time in some hospitals and suffering serious, often irreversible consequences. I will be writing to the Health Board to ensure our local hospitals are following best practice on this
