Great to discuss a project to plant more trees in towns and cities across Wales today with former colleague Angela Thomas from the National Federation of Women’s Institutes, who is working with fellow WI Committee members Julie Jolliffe, Eleanor King and Caralinda Jefferies with Angela co-ordinating the Llanelli area.

It’s so important to have trees and green spaces in our urban areas – not just for their beauty, but also for the positive impact on our health and in preventing climate change and flooding. We are lucky to have so much greenery in Carmarthenshire, but we must keep working together to protect what we have and green our towns and cities.
