On 5th May, we have important elections in Wales, when we will be electing the Assembly Members (AMs) to represent us in the National Assembly for Wales in Cardiff.

Our Labour candidate for the Llanelli Constituency is Lee Waters. Please vote for Lee to have a fresh voice for the Llanelli constituency. I know that Lee, who was brought up in the area, will fight to get the best for everyone across the whole constituency– for more about Lee, see link on the right. You can contact Lee on 07764 774 650 or lee@leeforllanelli.wales

On 5th May, in addition to voting for an AM for the constituency, you will have two other ballot papers. One of these is to elect the Assembly Members who will represent the region – on this ballot paper you have one vote for the political party of your choice– please vote Labour in this election too, so that we have enough Labour AMs to form a strong Labour Government to stand  up to the Tories in Westminster. How many of the four seats available each political party gets will depend on the number of votes that each party receives: in our Labour team for the Mid and West Wales region we have Joyce Watson, Eluned Morgan, John Bayliss and Tonia Antoniazzi.

The third ballot paper you will have is to elect a Police and Crime Commissioner for Dyfed Powys, and this will be a close race between our Labour candidate Kevin Madge and the current Conservative Commissioner Christopher Salmon who has done away with CCTV cameras in our towns and let his Tory bosses close the helicopter base at Pembrey. Vote Labour to protect our policing services.
