Ysgol y Strade students debating in parliament
Pupils from Ysgol y Strade, Stebonheath Primary and Pontyberem Primary have recently visited Parliament. After being greeted by MP Nia Griffith, pupils enjoyed an extensive tour of the Houses of Parliament and were able to walk through both the House of Lords and the Commons chamber and imagine being an MP or even Prime Minister. Pupils then had a chance to speak to Nia Griffith MP, who showed pupils from Ysgol y Strade and Stebonheath where and how committees work, and gave them a chance to participate in a mock debate
