President Melanie’s daughters wish the team good luck

Nia Griffith MP joined six other Rotary ladies to spend a night in a shelter box tent – the sort that Rotary send out to earthquake and disaster victims. The Tent packs up into a stackable box complete with the household essentials – bedding, cooker, pans, cutlery etc for 10 people. Between the well-attended barbecue before the “Night in a tent” and the sponsorship raised by the seven ladies in the tent, over £2,000 was raised for the Cancer charity which was chosen charity of out-going Rotary President Melanie. Melanie’s daughters came to wish the ladies good luck and were disappointed that they were not staying out too. So there’ll have to be a next time for them!
