After more than a year of campaigning, Nia Griffith MP and Cllr Steve Lloyd-Janes inspect the new bus stop in Trostre Retail Park

Nia Griffith MP and Cllr Steve Lloyd-Janes have been out inspecting the new bus stop layout in Trostre Retail Park, after over a year of campaigning.

They have brought together the County Council and Tesco in order to provide a bus stop layout which the bus companies will find more convenient, as bus operators have said in the past that they could not run more services to the retail park because of the time it was taking for their buses to get in and out of the retail park.

Nia commented:

“As well as making the area safer for pedestrians with the zebra crossing on the approach to the bus stop, these changes mean that from 17th April the 404 and the X11 buses will go into Trostre retail park to stop. This is a good start to making the retail park more user friendly for non-car drivers but, I am still campaigning to get proper pedestrian crossing facilities between Trostre and Pemberton retail parks – a the moment shoppers are taking their lives in their hands.”
