Morfa Residents Association won honours at the WCVA Wales Voluenteer of the Year Awards in Cardiff today.  The awards recognise inspirational individuals, trustees and groups contributing to their communities.  Three winners are selected in each category.  Morfa Residents Association won as a group recognising their achievements and contribution to the area.

Local MP Nia Griffith attended the awards in Cardiff today and said, “I was really pleased to be with the Morfa Residents Association when they received the very prestigious WCVA award in Cardiff as one of the three top volunteers groups in the whole of Wales. I have attended many of their events and seen the hard work they have done, both in developing the park and dealing with many other community issue.”
