Just had a meeting about Pembrey Post Office together with Cllr Shirley Matthews and Lee Waters. We stressed to Post Office bosses Stuart Taylor and Jeremy Kiff the need to get a permanent post office in a local shop AS SOON AS POSSIBLE.
The good news is there is local interest in taking on the post office but the bad news is that it is likely to take six months. In the meantime there will be a post office van offering an outreach service for an hour on Wednesday from Pembrey Church car-park.
We have asked for more time from the van, and will keep chasing on the permanent shop solution.
