Good to see Jeremy Corbyn setting out Labour’s vision to invest in British manufacturing. The case for giving big Government contracts to UK companies is overwhelming.
For every pound spent here, 30p comes back to the Treasury in tax. It supports local jobs at companies awarded contracts and component-producing engineering firms like the ones we have in Llanelli. Add to that the wider economic benefits of supply chain jobs and increased spending power in our communities.
So let’s end the Tories’ disgraceful practice of contracting out to foreign companies and buy British once again.
