As steel MPs, we had a meeting today with George Hollingbery MP, the new international trade Minister.

I told him about our real concerns about the tariffs Trump has slapped on our steel exports from Trostre and stressed the need to do everything possible to get exemptions. We also highlighted the need to strengthen anti-dumping measures to protect our steel here from cheap imports flooding in.

The Business Secretary Greg Clark MP has promised to meet us next week so another chance to push these issues.
