Clear from listening to Mike Hawes of the Society of Motor Manufacturers & Traders and Jo Lopes, Head of Technical Excellence at Jaguar Land Rover, that Government needs to take much greater note of industry concerns about the Apprenticeship Levy and closing the skills gap.
Need to give greater value to technical education, apprenticeships and further education institutions to ensure industry has the skilled workers we need to keep ahead and secure the jobs of the future.
