Home > News > Meeting with LINK about free cash points

I met with LINK last week to discuss the impact that planned reductions in the fees paid to cash point operators may have on ATMs in rural and deprived areas like those in the Llanelli constituency.

It was good to get reassurances from LINK that they will now be able to offer higher subsidies for these isolated cash points, which often prop up our communities. They will also investigate areas where cash point provision could be under threat from the changes and villages like Trimsaran that are still not served by a free ATM.

I continue to monitor the situation locally and report any possible threats directly to LINK.
