Lee Waters and I visited schools on Friday to congratulate the winners of our annual Christmas card competition and present them with framed versions of their original drawings. We were accompanied by George Parker of Parker Plant Hire who kindly sponsored the costs of the competition and gave £100 cheque to each of the schools with a winner.
Congratulations to Ella Evans of Swiss Valley Primary School and Hannah Suter of Ysgol y Felin, who won the Infant and Junior categories respectively. We received hundreds of amazing entries from children right across the Llanelli constituency, many of which are being displayed on the wall in Llanelly House through till Christmas Day.
I would recommend visiting the exhibition of the designs in Llanelly House. The cards are beautiful and it’s a great way to celebrate the creativity of Llanelli’s talented children. I would like to thank George Parker for his generous sponsorship of the competition, the judges and all who helped the children take part.
