Out campaigning for our small businesses with David Darkin, vice-president of Llanelli Chamber of Trade, Tegwen Waters, John Prosser, John Bayliss, Suzy Curry, Lewis Armishaw, Gareth Howells and Andre McPherson.

Local MP Nia Griffith is calling on Christmas shoppers to come and support Llanelli town centre, as part of the nationwide initiative “Small Business Saturday”, which this year took place on Saturday 3rd December. This campaign is about encouraging everyone in the UK to support small businesses, both on the day and beyond.

Nia Griffith MP said, “None of us can be complacent about the immense challenge facing small, independent businesses, and in particular those in our town centre. That is why it is so important to support our local traders. So I hope that in the run-up to Christmas as many people as possible will remember to come and look what our small businesses in Llanelli town centre have to offer. The market is a real asset to Llanelli, and we all want to see a vibrant town centre, but it is very much a case of use it or lose it. If we want the choice of a range of small independent retailers and restaurants in our town centre, then we need to be supporting them. So when you go Christmas shopping, think of our small traders first and encourage everyone to come and help us support our town centre. See you there!”
