Nia Griffith MP has welcomed Llanelli choir The Phil Harmonics to the Houses of Parliament.

The choir has so far raised thousands of pounds for worthy causes including the Breast Care Unit at Llanelli’s Prince Philip Hospital, Mind – the mental health charity, the Ugandan Maternity Project and Llanelli Parkinson’s Society.

Ms Griffith said,

“It was a pleasure to welcome the Phil Harmonics to Parliament, along with the guests from Wales and London who travelled to hear their entertaining performance. They sang a great selection of songs which we all thoroughly enjoyed, including their unique rendering of the Welsh national anthem. They are very innovative and inspiring.

“The work they have done to raise much needed money for local charities has been particularly noteworthy and I wish them every success for the future.”
