Nia Griffith MP recently had the pleasure of handing out certificates at an award ceremony at Lakefield Community Hall organised by Llanelli Women’s Aid. The certificates awarded were for the successful completion of a whole range of courses, which had been organised by Welsh Women’s Aid with funding from the Welsh Government. Enthusiasm and the uptake for the courses had been much greater than anticipated and now there is demand for further such opportunities.
Nia commented, “Many of the participants told me how much they had enjoyed coming together on these courses and that they look forward to being able to continue. Nowadays skills and training are absolutely vital, both to be able to cope with the complex world in which we live – with things like technology changing every day – and to have better job prospects. I’d like to congratulate everyone on their achievements and wish them and Women’s Aid every success with similar projects in the future.”
