Cllr Terry Davies, Chair of the County Council, Cllr Tegwen Devichand and Nia with the Army Cadets Band at the Dafen Forum Christmas carnival.

“It’s good to see people getting out and about, and making an effort to create a bit of Christmas cheer. Following the excellent Llanelli carnival last Friday, with a record number of floats, we had the reindeer and now this weekend, the Dafen Forum’s event was a great success with singing from the three local schools Dafen, Half Way and St Mary’s and a parade led by the band. The mums were out again this weekend  with two more collection sessions for the Philippines.  On Sunday I attended a lunch in aid of the NSPCC in Parc Howard with carols led by Cor Curiad, followed by a Vintage Tea on behalf of the British Heart Foundation  with entertainment from Cor Lleisiau’r Haf. The money raised will go to the cardiac units in Prince Philip and Moriston hospitals and to provide defibrillators in schools. Well done everyone for all your hard work and generosity. ”
