Along with members of the Penygraig Residents Action Group, Nia Griffith MP met with the County Council Housing Officer, members of the Environment Enforcement team and the local Police Community Support Officer, Tom Edwards, to discuss ideas for the development of the Penygraig area. On a walkabout around the Penygraig area, Nia and the residents discussed plans for the creation of new facilities for the community, including ideas for the placement of a children’s park, a community centre and an activity area. Areas for improvement and better maintenance were also considered.
Nia said of the walkabout: ‘I’m really pleased that the residents group has got together, and I think there are many great ideas that have potential to be expanded and discussed after the day’s walkabout.’
