It was a real pleasure to be at Maes y Morfa School last week when Leighton Andrews AM, Education Minister in the Assembly, officially opened the spectacular new premises. This building project was made possible through the vision of Carmarthenshire County Council, and the investment by the Labour-led Assembly and the previous Labour UK Government.
Not only are there excellent facilities for the school pupils, but right in the heart of the school is the Flying Start centre for parents and toddlers, recognising how very important those very early years are.
None of it would have been possible without the tremendous hard work by Headteacher Joe Cudd, the school staff, the County’s property development team and the builders. I wish all at the school the very best for the future.
