Nia Griffith MP joined Cllr Tegwen Devichand, Chair of the County Council and many other guests at the opening of the Links project by Huw Edwards of BBC news fame. Following the official blast off with party poppers , guests were treated to delicious cawl and Welsh cakes provided by Angela from the Stradey Park Hotel.
“It is a beautifully designed centre with excellent facilities which I know are being put to very good use by the project users. As Sue Hamill the project co-ordinator said at the opening, mental health services still tend to be a Cinderella service, which reinforces the stigma surrounding mental health, although it is estimated that one in four people will suffer from mental health problems during their lifetime. I wish the project every success in the excellent work that they do”
